Quick favor? Convert .ai to .eps?

Hey,

Wondering if I can get a quick hand converting a .ai file to a .eps file? Happy to pay if someone’s actually that stringent, but do need this done today. If someone’s REALLY nice, we need a minor colour change done… But we can live without it

Hey Jeremy,
do you need a Photoshop EPS or an Illustrator EPS?
Because I don’t have Illustrator now! May be if you can wait for a week or so!
take a look here if you ever need to:

i can… even the color change… if you yet need it.

Hope this will help…

Encapsulated PostScript File (eps file). I have used this format extensively over the years and it is fantastic for retaining special spot colours in the print environment, also clipping paths are saved for transparency of irregular shaped object, sitting over other images, etc.

But I am in fact using this option less and less, since Acrobat 7 (pdf 1.6 - PDF/X…3_2003) as this supports transparency, and Acrobat 8 is even better.

I understand that some environments still utilise the eps file in their work flow to help the postscript functions in processing and delivering the final to plate or to film, but I believe this is changing.

With transparency support, colour management embedded, PDF has almost replaced eps for me.

From illustrator, Save As - Illustrator EPS, Open in Photoshop, Save a Copy - As Photoshop EPS, Clipping paths can be saved in the Paths palette, and effects such as feather can be added to path, to save path for editing I recommend saving path as an alpha channel also…

Good luck
Kai
