Properly SEO'ing my domain

I don’t get it… I even made an sitemap, and added my link to a few sites. I just want this thing in Google, dont’ care where.

No search results yet, but here’s the google Bot stats from awstats.

Got 13 hits this morning.

Robots/Spiders visitors (Top 25) - Full list - Last visit

Googlebot 13 5.50 KB 08 Mar 2010 - 07:44

In Google Webmaster Tools you will be able to see your sitemap and it should say how many pages from it are indexed. Is that still saying 0?

I’m starting to wonder if my site is banned for some reason. I did have one of those common parked pages on there for a couple of months. The one with all the links and big picture of a co-ed girl .

Yeah I did the site map thing. Also increased the crawl rate.

Crawl rate changed for http://www.mysite.ws/March 10, 2010
We’ve processed the request from a site owner to change the rate at which Googlebot crawls this site: http://www.mysite.ws/
New crawl rate: Custom rate
0.057 requests per second
17.544 seconds per request
This new crawl rate will stay in effect for 90 days.

I don’t know this for sure, but I would think that Google would give you some sort of message in GWT if your site was banned. They do for sites that are hosting malicious content and have been removed from search results.

You might want to look into that.

I ran it in one or those “is my site blocked on google " generators, and it came back as, " Your site hasn’t been Indexed yet, or is banned”.

Anyways…

I added a text link to 2 of my more popular sites and the domain.ws comes up when I search “domain.ws” in Google. However, the site itself doesn’t come up in the results. Just results just show “domain.ws” is on popularsite.com/pageXXXXXXX.html.

Waiting sucks… :frowning:

It’s not… Just found it in the results. Whoo!! That’s only took about a week. Yaay progress.

Now the only this that sucks in that I have to type “mydoma.in” for it to show with the " ".

Have to figure out how to properly SEO it so that it will show when you type in mydomain without the DOT or " "s.

Woohoo! Glad it’s finally in the index. Just keep expanding the site and you’ll inevitably use the name of the site within the copy which should help with that last task.

No only did it Index… but it’s currently the second result when you type in my domain. It’s 2nd out of “Results 1 - 10 of about 14,800,000.”

Not bad. Time to expand my website.
