Php vs. C#

Hi sitepoint members,

I’ve just downloaded Visual Studio 2010 (Luckily my university provides it for free) and I’ve tried it and it’s amazing. However, I still don’t know which programming language should I use for web development PHP or C#(ASP.NET). I just want to pick one of them and start learning it, but till now I feel that I’m confused which option is better for me. I hope experts here could provides help for me.

Which one does your hosting support?

Even the rare web hosts that do offer both usually have support for one of them than they do for the other.
