I dont know i am at Home now and dont Have the problem here.
Yes that did actually worked.
But does that mean I miss that font from my system ?
Yes and your system isn’t finding a suitable font to fall back on (most likely).
That’s odd.
Shouldn’t it revert to the sans-serif
fall back if all others fail?
As in “just any sans serif font will do, whatever you’ve got.”
Check your installed fonts, surely there should be some ‘standard’ sans font like Helvetica or Arial.
If not, try find one to install.
You would think. But I think that depends on a few variables. 1) what is defined in the CSS, and 2) what is defined as the default font in Chrome (under Settings > Advanced > Web Content > Customize Fonts)
Maybe the default font isn’t installed or is corrupt on the work machine? You can also define the default Standard Font, Serif Font, Sans-serif Font, and Fixed-width Font. The default sans-serif seems to be working, so I’d focus on the serif font and standard font first.
In Settings - Advanced Settings, there is “Customise Fonts” where you can set the standard for each type as well as the standard font.
You’re all delving way too deep into an otherwise simple solution.
