Help me decide what to do with one of my sites that get a decent number of hits but takes very little.
It seems a shame to abandon it when it gets so many visitors.
Monthly uniques: 3,000
Adsense income for 2011: £54 for the whole year.
Amazon income for 2011: £3 for the whole year.
Over 38,000 visits and it made less than £60 for the whole year.
There must be a better way to moneytise it.

Put some health banners on your site. Rotate between Truth About Abs and The Diet Solution. People who are thinking about pizza recipes are in the perfect frame of mind for a health offer.
I realise it’s low value keyword so I removed all the adsense recently.
Thanks for your input, i’ve added a few banners to Debenhams, Boots and Littlewoods to target the female visitors.
I have the same problem with my site. Last month i had only 1000 visitors in my site and no income from advertiser

Good one. A lot of people would definitely love something that’s delicious and, at the same time, healthy! I do think that it’s going to be a hit if you’re going to share some health benefits of your product. Keyword: benefits. If you’re going to share something about the ingredients, a gist of it would be fine.
well try targeting some ads relevant to pizza (a tools, recipe book, or cooking equipment). People go to your site because they think they can make their own pizza.
I agree with masmiskun. When you show relevant things people are more likely to purchase that ‘equipement’ because they need to make that pizza or whatever other recipe you put out there.
Your blog looks like an autoblog and your traffic not too much which generates full time income, if your per day visitors are
around 3000 then you can earn 10 dollars per day average. So do some work on your website and increase the visitors and then you will enjoy traffic and revenue too.
That word pizza seizes my attention - its one of the best things.
It seems you are trying to appeal to a mass market, while offering a way of cooking by that desktop device on your home page. Yet while sharing gourmet recipes I think that a natural fit, with your site visitors that is, would be the trend of building pizza ovens - masonry or what have you.
Whether it is selling kits outright, plans or just making pages also for the purpose for sponsored ads.
Make a form and post shared recipes - I think this might be somewhat of a loyal audience. Hey, if someone is going to hoist out the trowel and cement mixer, they’ll probably revisit.
Make a demo on YouTube that mentions your site.
Cooking is creative so let the aroma lift from there.

It will not be difficult to find an advertiser because you have good traffic.
Traffic in itself means very little. I have to congratulate you on getting traffic towards your website as you’ve done what appears to be the hard work, but now you’ve got to start utilising that traffic and start converting. It may be worth looking towards getting a UX or IA person in to give you some advice on how to structure your site to convert to the traffic you’re receiving.
If you are really interested in making pizza much more, you can make some connection between pizza and popular keywords such as travelling, wine, fashion etc. to opening your target visitors especially housewives some new possibilities of life style. If you are interested in moneytising from your homemadepizza much more, you could try domain parking.

Usually for 3 k traffic is like low, i believe you need to get more traffic and the best would be quality traffic.
Unique visitors with only 3k per week , you might need high conversion rate only you get earn a huge amount . So i recommended you to get more traffic , even double or triple up your traffic.
