I am a newbie in link building. i have a personal blog and i have listed my blog Homepage url in 200 blog directories. All links point back to Homepage.
Now , i have daily post every day should i create link back from those directories every day to each URL .please guide
Another thing to consider is social media promotion. You can see some really good traffic if you have some worthwhile content. Sites like Digg, reddit, stumbleupon, twitter, facebook can drive CRAZY amounts of traffic if your content goes viral. I also believe Google gives you extra weight in their searches when you have stuff on social media sites.
Care to explain how via bookmarking and article submission you actually build quality links? They are useless crap links and like the poster above, I wish my competitors would follow your advice.
As for your blog, i am going to email all my competitors with the link. I really hope they follow your advice!
If you think you’re going to get all those directories to give you a new link every day, you’re in for a nasty shock. Let’s put it this way … any site that gives out that many links is going to have absolutely no credibility with search engines, so you’ll get no benefit at all from having links from them.
The best strategy is probably to keep links pointing to them home page, make sure your home page gives a permalink to each article URL, and probably to set up an RSS feed to help search engines to reach all of the pages as and when they’re added.
if you want to promote your blog then blog directory submission is not enough. start doing some more off page activity like social bookmarking, blog commenting, forum posting and directory submission too. from all this i m sure you will get good traffic and ranking in your blog.
Some basic ways to get backlinks are those that Avadhesh posted. I would also add article marketing and web 2.0 sites.
PS. directories may or may not accept your link, and it may be months before they do. Plus, relying on just that one way of building links is unnatural. Google doesn’t like unnatural.
In my opinion, you should submit your RSS feeds to top feed directories. Your feeds will automatically update your content on every feed directory and this will cut down your efforts to huge extent.
you should do social bookmarking and proper hyperlinking of your blog to get good value from effort you are doing. directory don’t give you worth value these days
To increase your SEO value (very important for a long term traffic to your website) you should do:
Social Bookmarking for each of your articles and the home page
Article submission to the main article directories
Link wheel with Web 2.0 property
Directories submission
Video uploads
Doc uploads
And maybe something more that I forget now
All this tasks can be outsourced very cheaply through Fiverr (and it is my hint, use it).
Press Releases can be very good way to promote a site, one of the main things when building links is quality over quantity every time and try and get links to sites that are in the same niche as your Blog. Also remember build a steady stream of links rather than alot in a short time duration as google can pick up on this fact and can punish the site.
