Is website theme will effect site ranking?

Choice of theme put any effect on site ranking or not? Please tell me.

Are you asking whether the choice of a theme for WordPress (or other CMS) will affect search engine rankings?

If so, then the answer is no - if it’s a decent theme which has been create with attention to good coding practice. Search engines rely on page structure - and particularly headings - to help them make sense of you page. Provided your theme uses properly structured pages, the choice will make no difference. Appearance plays no part in SEO.

Content is important, not the design/theme.

Hi  Your topic affect the ranking in search engines! So. 100% effect theme on search results. Here is an example: you have a skinny, poor, not alive the theme-a website template and this topic is not attractive to people, the bounce rate will be large, search engines take this into account and lower the results in your website. It is a fact. Conclusion: the important content and an important topic of website, choose a right topic and work on unique content - in this case will be a success. Good luck

Can you back up that alleged “fact” with some authoritative and reputable source?

Hi  Your question unfortunately will not satisfied, so as to give an example of your sites, I will not, or look for someone else. All I said I said from decades of experience, and based on logical behavioral factors search engines. Oh, and just to include possible logic of a human - it is on a website without a design? It’s like an empty house.

Do you have a reputable (e.g. Google or Bing) source to back up this assertion? Search engines may be able to track visitors who click a link on their own site, then return almost immediately, but beyond that, how do they even know what the bounce rate is?

You should also note that “bounce” refers to those visitors who enter and leave a site from the same page. This is not necessarily negative; those visitors may have arrived on the page with the exact information they wanted, done what they intended, and left happy.

Hello  Reply to myself on here a question: what kind of website the search engine will raise above - interesting or not interesting for people? The answer will be the answer.

I’ll take that as a “No”.

Google may consider bounce rate when ranking
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1009409?hl=ru

The English version is here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1009409?hl=en

However, that’s simply an article about bounce rate, for Google Analytics users. Google doesn’t use Analytics data in search rankings.

Of course, to argue this issue endlessly  what’s the point? If it’s obvious - every self-respecting webmaster bad the theme does not use, but only good, in fact.

If there were no effects, and this article too - would not exist. Google says, and we decide for yourself

You misunderstand the purpose of the article, it is to help get better user engagement, nothing to do with ranking.

Here is some logic. Google goes to great lengths to avoid ranking signals that can easily be manipulated. Visitor behaviour is very easy to manipulate with “fake traffic”.

A high bounce rate may be bad for your site, but there’s nothing to indicate it can affect SEO. And Google is clear that a high bounce rate is not necessarily bad.

:banghead:

yes website theme effect the website ranking. If your website is eye-cache and attractive, its attract the visitors and they automatic drive to your website. Through which your website rank also increased.

Visitor numbers have no effect on search engine rankings. Beyond those visitors who click through from a search page, search engines have no way of knowing how much traffic a site gets.

I don’t think so. Site ranking is depends on your Unique Content and Quality Backlinks from high DA sites.

Website theme should be attractive and user friendly. It will help in reducing bounce rate of a website.
