Image won't load in Firefox

This appears to be related to my computer as it does not happen anywhere else. I have uninstalled Firefox, deleted all references in appdata directories, rebooted and reinstalled but it makes no difference. If I browse to http://www.rosmini.school.nz/templates/rosmini/images/logo.png in Chome, the image loads. If I do the same in Firefox (34.05), I get “cannot be displayed because it contains errors”. It with Firefox on the other machines on our network.

Any ideas?

Have you tried hard refresh and all that? (Command + Shift + R)

Others have had this issue apparently. Found this on a search.

It loads OK for me Firefox Windows, but Page Info is missing the background and right side text

It’s displaying fine here, too - Firefox 34 on Ubuntu Gnome 14.10. Not that that’s much help to the OP, who already suspects it’s just their computer.

Presumably, @abasel, you have the same problem with the image whether you view it directly in the browser, or embedded in a web page?

Try loading the image into your paint package and re-saving it with a different name and see if that new image shows up. If it does show up then delete the old one and rename the new one.

I have had issues with corrupt images not showing up in one browser or another and just re-saving them from Fireworks or photoshop usually does the trick.

@ralphm Thanks, Command + Shift + R worked. I had tried ctrl F5 which I thought did the same thing. What confused me was that I had cleared all history and cookies from within the browser, uninstalled and then deleted all remaining directories in appdata folders. I thought that would have been a brute force method of clearing everything. Obviously not… thanks
