I’ve been researching different ways to grow an Instagram account without relying on bots or spammy tactics. There are so many strategies being shared online, from creating Reels and carousels to collaborating with creators and posting consistently.
In your experience:
Which growth methods have worked best?
How important is engagement compared to posting frequency?
What mistakes should beginners avoid?
I’d love to hear real experiences and tips from the community.
There is no magic button. There is no “Do this and you’re guaranteed to grow”.
The legitimate strategies have (with very little flex for AI) not changed in decades, and so the advice remains the same:
Time and effort.
I would avoid the word ‘frequency’, or at least acknowledge there’s a diminishing returns factor to it. It is possible to overdo it. Consistency over Frequency.
Simple question you have to ask yourself: Why are you doing this?
If you’re honest with yourself, and the answer is anything other than "because I want to " or “because it’s fun”… stop.
I’ve found that consistency matters more than posting as often as possible. Creating useful Reels and carousels is a good starting point, but genuine engagement with people in your niche makes a big difference too. I’d focus on quality, replying to comments, and testing different content formats rather than chasing follower numbers.
