Ads, overwriting cookies, inserting their own affiliate links into webpages, etc…
Not much that is truly ethical.
They are counting on users who aren’t that tech savvy enough to read the T&Cs before downloading/installing the toolbar. Stuff like this is what keeps the anti-spyware companies in business
