Have you ever paid for SEO work? How was it?

I know my thread on paid SEO, do it yourself took off like a rocket bomb - and I was wondering, who here has paid someone to do SEO work for them? How was it? Did you get a lot of quality rankings, or was it not worth it?

Nope and never will, the majority of the so called SEO consultants are professional bulls*it artists with a degree in smoke and mirrors and think they are smarter than google.

I know right. Where do these SEO consultants even learn? From articles and “small” experiences. Which isn’t all that accurate.

In my view all you have to do is buy site points Search engine Marketing Kit, grasp the fundamentals and learn the hard way but always remember googles search algorithm is in most cases far more clever than you will ever be.

Or if you’re like me, you learn by writing quality content and getting natural links.

I make the above statement with a degree of authority. I have worked on the dark side of SEO and will never again.

I did once. Did it for a boost, ended up with a slap. Will NEVER do it again, which is ironic since we are an seo company. It could have been a bunch of things, but I will not give projects overseas again, but maybe tasks. I know I can rank anything I touch, for myself or clients, but once was enough for me.

What kind of slap? How bad were you penalized?

My friend who had a pharmacy business tried hiring SEO guys & found it very helpful. They indexed his site quickly & the ranking was nice in a very short time span.
