I think it happened sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday when traffic from images.google.fr, images.google.de, and other international image searches just all of a sudden disappeared. I still get the same amount of search engine traffic from regular google and from places like docs.google.com but the referrals from the non-english image search vanished. I find this weird as when I search images.google.fr and others from my images, they are still in the same position. Was there some change to the way google analytics counted these referrals as since now they are gone?
I can’t say I noticed until you mention it. I have noticed in the past I have regularly had a handful of referrals from images.google.fr which I always noted as odd. Looking now, there has not been one since mid January.
I notice from your profile your site is a photo site, so I imagine image searches may be a larger part of your traffic than other sites.
Its about 7-8% of my traffic. Everyone at webmasterworld seems to have experienced the same thing. Its probably some sweeping change with analytics or image search.
Other then image website publishers I don’t think anyone would have notice such a thing since most users don’t enter website from google images (I know I never did).
