For my blog I am generating a good amount of traffic, but most of the traffic is from Google Images. Google Images along with other image search engine are responsible for more than 80% of my traffic. Now I don’t know how to monetize the traffic that is coming from the images, because some people are suggesting me that traffic from images doesn’t holds any importance.
Are you using a WordPress SEO Images plugin or anything like that? There is nothing wrong about getting traffic from Google Images, it sounds like it is not targeted. Non-targeted traffic is really inefficient for monetization.
You may want to find a way to turn those readers into subscribers so you can increase your audience.
I dont think so and traffic from images is still worth. You may work with any affiliate program related to your niche in order to make money.
That’s why I prefer to use unique visitors when reflecting on a site instead of hits. What good is it to say I have 10000000 hits while, like you just described, 80% is created by image downloads
The problem with image searches is that you know the user is only wanting to look at a picture. And will most probably not want to read anything.
So other than placing your own watermark to help telling them that there is even a blog to read there is not much that can be done in my opinion.
Unless of course your running some kind of art, images blog. Which you could be blogging about the images.
I definitely believe that you can still convert a lot of traffic coming from google images searches to clients. Just make sure your landing page will be as convincing. A ton of internet marketers are enjoying the benefits of google images.
