FREE! jQuery: From Novice To Ninja

It’s pretty rare you’ll ever see us give away one of our most popular books, but that is exactly what is happening right now.

At this very moment, we are giving away digital copies of jQuery: Novice to Ninja! It’s all part of our “This Cup” promotion which you can learn about here:

http://sale.sitepoint.com

Enter your email address and we’ll send you a link to download your copy.

This is only available for a few more hours, so grab it while you can.

I’m afraid the download was only available for 30 hours.

I went to the web page from my phone, got the link sent to my email, but wanted to wait to download the pdf until I was at my computer. Evidently the download was cut of on or before midnight Jul 13 eastern time.

I didn’t want to download it to my phone, so I guess I don’t get the pdf.

Glad you like it.

Code archives can be downloaded here

I’m loving this eBook.
Thanks!!!

One question - where can I go to see working examples of the code that is taught in the book?

@captainstarbuck: we have free samples of all our books available, usually 2-4 chapters that you can get as a pdf to help you decide if it’s right for you.

You’re all welcome. Thanks for the great feedback.

It is easy to say thanks for the free book and all of that… but what is lost is that is a bloody fantastic book. I shudder at the thought of Java Script. I opened this book and within 5 minutes I had my first Zebra striped table… 2 minutes later, I re-wrote the JS - without looking!

(Watch out! Java Script forum is going to get flooded with newbie questions…)

Thanks… for the great book, and for making it available for free!

Fantastic! Free is always good. Thanks very much to Sitepoint.

Wow, nice promotion. Thanks for the giveaway Sitepoint!

thanks a lot. another reason to cheer spain’s victory

Apparently everyone is. I am swamped with Tweets!

Hi Viju,
Email our support team at books@sitepoint.com and they’ll help you out with that.

I went for the Code archive but could not download anything …

I gave the email id from which i got the free pdf on the worldcup offer…

But it didn’t worked out and it shows me a code to retype and that too haven’t worked out (:

Is there any error on that? Or am i doing somthing wrong?

I am a bit late for this promotion. I just checked and realised it ended not long ago. I will keep an eye out for next promotions.

Thank you again Thank you

Ahhh thanks for letting me know that Louis. I wasn’t aware of that.

Biggg sigh. I don’t begrudge anyone getting something for free but I wouldn’t be human if I wasn’t feeling a little snarked being offered something for free that I paid hard earned money for two days earlier.

I bought this book for the discount price of $4.95 offered on the 10th. Not a lot I know but after getting two of three emails from you guys saying this special offer was about to expire I took the hint and bought it. To find two days later you are giving it away.

As I said not a big deal but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit this niggled me when I saw this thread.

You’ll be needing the code archive
