Error when changing the name servers on my domain, please help?

I’ve been trying to change the nameservers on a domain registered through an Enom reseller. When I try to make the change I get the error below;

Errors modifying nameservers: nRRPResponseCode 541

The new nameservers were set up by my hosting company on my VPS.

What causes these errors?

What do I need to do, to change the nameservers on my domain?

I’ve figured this out. I had gone straight to trying to change the NS’s on the Enom domains without completing the step below, to register the NameServers with Enom;

  • Click Select domain names.
  • Click Register DNS.
  • Use the Register a Nameserver Name tool in the first section of the page to create your nameserver.

If you need to change nameservers you do not need register them. Specify name servers from your domain name registrar
