Dummy APP Design Question - Photoshop

OK I am trying to design Mobile app screens in Photoshop.

This is the way I am doing. I didn’t read any tuts and just know how app screens gen. look.

So I take a canvas size of 640px x 1136px and 72dpi.

I then take 20px margins from left and right and that’s it.

I arbitrary take some margin from top as per my wish.

I take font size, text box, text area, radio button, drop down button sizes as per my wish. No following of any science… just my wish.

If my designs dont fit the 1136px height then no problem… increase height because user gonna scroll.

So is the way are apps designed?

** Don’t they follow any specific guidelines like for which platform u r designing… Iphone, Android, Hybrid etc.

Resolution ???

No specific guidelines for margins and sizes… Just everything my wish…

Please experts… help me.

These tuts are giving me some ideas though still I have some questions which an only be answered by a real app developer. I haven’t found any real app developer yet.
