How to increase your site crawl rate so the website can index soon ?
If you have a Google Webmasters Tools account , you can increase Google crawl rate through the account in the Dashboard - Settings screen. This however applies to web sites that have been running for some time only. If your web site is brand new, Google assigns some default crawl rate to your site.
Sitemap is a solution to make sure Googlebot crawls your new articles or pages even faster.

Reliable servers (avoids down time).
Sitemap (both xml and html).
sites that has high page rank are frequently crawled. These would help your site to be indexed sooner.
