I have a web application and I want to ‘record’ some simple activities (i.e. me moving the mouse to perform actions within my application) and then play them on my home page to show what my application is about. Each playback would only be from a small portion of the application (probably a 400x150px viewport) and only last for about 7-10 seconds.
Currently I’m using an animaged, but would Flash be a good candidate for this or would something else make more sense for someone on a limited budget?
Creating it in flash would make for a smaller download but more work to animate stuff. Any screen capture utility e.g debugmode wink will easily capture video with very little effort but the file size will be larger.
I use Camtasia from Techsmith http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/
Very easy to use and manipulate and you can add voice narration etc.
