Another quick question. When I enter my name in Facebook’s search, I can’t find myself. Which settings affect this exactly?

I’m not sure if you can find yourself in a search if you’re logged in as yourself, anyway.
I think you are probably right. That would be a bit redundant, wouldn’t it?
You could add yourself as a friend! 
Sorry for being unclear. I was not signed into Facebook. I was with someone else and doing searches, and realized I couldn’t find myself. Thanks for the input, I think I found the right setting for this.
I must say I am disappointed in how clumsy of a tool Facebook is. Controls for what gets shared and how seems pretty scattered to me. I have read through all the info for privacy & account settings, but it doesn’t address all of my questions. My questions to the Help team have gone unanswered, so I’m pretty much left with searching forums and the public knowledge base. Sorry if my posts annoy those more experienced with Facebook. I’m still a big time newbie.
