I want to collect a set fee once you click on a button from members using PayPal. What is the best option to go with as PayPal have a number of different approaches?
There is no subscription, just a one off payment to be dealt with. Is PayPal’s IPN the best option? I am finding it difficult to understand exactly what PayPal offers that best fits my needs.

The difference between Website Payment Standard and Pro is that the Standard is intended to be used as a single button that allows people to do a certain action (either a fixed payment or a donation).
Website Payment Pro is mostly for shopping carts. Unless you sell merchandise through your website (or it’s a whole online store), you don’t need this.
Thank you for a quick answer. I forgot to mention that this payment is for electronic goods, so no need to collect details such as postal address, etc. Does this change what you would advice?
