Currently using Avast EasyPass but every time I update Firefox, the toolbar disappears. As I use it constantly in my work, am looking for a more stable application.
Any recommendations?

I use 1Password. Works great! 
One of best freeware password manager is called RoboForm
I have also used roboform before and I would say it is a nice password manager. It is also comes with a lite version that will not get a big space on your disk.
KeyPass is my personal fav, been using it for years, is free, loads on your computer so it’s not a web-based app if that’s what you’re looking for.
