This is a Virtual Address not a their own Company Office (Rented, buy etc)
Check here: Virtual Office (Look at the address)

The Name “Alstrasoft” is not found and/or listed in the BIZFILE of Singapore. Meaning Not a registered business or company. Probably register under another business name. Good way to find out is “To whom you pay your Money to” is the best way to find the real name of the company. If payable to Alstrasoft eg. Paypal sales@alstrasoft then it will be much easier to answer the entire case.
Example: I can set up a Online business by registering myself a Virtual Office (just to please customers - That I have a registered address - so it look like i have a company) and accept payment by PayPal or any other mode of payment without having to reveal my true company identity. Such as, where is my “Real Office that I work”. Normally this will be in my house bedroom.
Secondly, the Virtual Company do not require any business registration number to filled up in the application. This means that you do not need to have a “Legal” Registered Business or Company in Singapore to use this virtual office services. Frankly they don’t ask for it, I just call them up today to make inquiries.
- On the Legal point of view, If you running a Web Services such as Development Of Other Software (Including Software Maintenance) which classified as Web Design (SSIC Number 63129). Under the requirement of SSIC - Singapore Standard Industrial Classification (SSIC) code corresponding to your business activity, YOU MUST REGISTER it as a business. But do notice that some do take the risk by creating a Web Company without registering a business. Seems like “testing the water before jumping in”.
So if you ask me if Alstrasoft a registered business, my answer is NO. Unless the name of the Software is “Alstrasoft” and it is not collecting payment under the name of Alstrasoft but another business name, then they are safe. It’s seems the “Real name with a business registration number” will not be found unless they let everyone knows it, which they should if there are nothing to hide.
- On the Law point of view, if they never “con” or steal your money in anyway considering cheating and/or theft, you can’t do much. If they are a registered business (I doubt so) that provide unjustified service etc, as a consumers, you can post your complain here. The Case. Frankly, these people take matter “too serious sometime” lol. Good place to complain. But if they are not registered, not sure they can help either.
If cheating etc, go here: www.spf.gov.sg
But, you MUST have all the relevant documentations and prove that convincing enough to be a case.
So now, it’s all up to you what you want to do.
Well that completes my CSI work.
Good Luck.
Ooops almost forgoten to say: If you all ask me personally as a freind. Knowing the so call company is somewhat do not exist, I will NOT buy from them. PERIOD.
No offense Alstrasoft, you might want to re-think that, some of us do live in Singapore that lurking on the web with a brain and armed with legal knowledge. Seting up a Web business is easy but answering and servicing is never a businessman dream.
Cheers!!!
