I’m new here and am looking for some feedback from those who are experienced at affiliate marketing revenue generation. I have a website in development, that would require a visitor to view a sponsor ad before proceeding forward to the next page of my site. I know I can generate some good traffic to the site on a regular basis. To be able to calculate revenue more accurately, I thought having a CPC program would work, but from what I have read, they seem to be fading away. While CPC programs pay a small amount per click, with the good volume of traffic I can generate, the numbers could be good.
Are there any good CPC programs out there, or am I beating a dead dog with this? Thank you for your feedback and any other ideas.

Google AdSense is a lot better than it once was.
I’d recommend adding this to your site as it seems to generate more income than many affiliate schemes - although this will depend on your niche.

There are two problems with that:
Why would your visitor agree to do that? Or, put another way, if you arrived at a website looking for some specific information, would you agree to have to view an ad before being allowed to see what you are looking for? I certainly wouldn’t, and I suspect most others won’t either.
Any ad that visitors are forced to view isn’t going to be worth anything to the advertiser. So you’re not likely to earn any revenue from it. If the ad is an affiliate link, it’s unlikely that the user would end up buying the advertiser’s product, so, again, the ad won’t have any value to you.
You then say that CPC programmes “seem to be fading away”.
What evidence do you have for that? As far as I can judge, there are more CPC programmes around than ever before, and the most successful of them are just as big as ever.
I suspect that you have read articles and posts by the many would-be CPC publishers who have tried to do CPC but failed to make any real money from it. I can understand why that would put you off. But it simply reflects the fact that CPC needs a lot of work, and most of those who fail aren’t willing or able to give it the effort it needs.
If you accept the fact that any way to make money in this business is going to require considerable time and effort, then you are much more likely to succeed with CPC than with your original scheme. You are definitely not beating a dog with it, and there are certainly good schemes out there.
Allow me to restate a different question. Can anyone give me some referrals on a good program for Pay Per Click advertising? Not pay per action/sale, or pay per impression, or Google Adsense. Thanks in advance.
