Affiliate Program for Online Marketing Website

Hello,

We are starting an affiliate programme for our online marketing website. Can some expert affiliates give me some opinions on what ways should we use for marketing website.

Our concern is to get traffic on the site by this affiliate program. I am thinking of some ways like “Placing the link on your website or blog”, “Placing a review on your blog”, “Placing ads on Google using Google Adwords”. Can you suggest any best way to do that and to keep affiliates in the loop?

Your comments and new thoughts will be appreciated. Many thanks and I look forward to reading your comments.

[FONT=verdana]Are you sure you want an affiliate programme? You say that your concern is to get traffic to the site. That’s fine, but that’s not the aim of an affiliate programme (at least, not as most of us understand the term).

In general, an affiliate is a website that refers visitors to your site, and earns a commission if that visitor purchases your product. If that’s what you want, probably the best way of starting out is to use an established intermediary, such as Commission Junction. They will help recruit the affiliates, track their referrals, provide reporting services, and aggregate the payments.

But if your aim is simply to get traffic to your site, you might be better off with a pay-per-click advertising network, such as Google Adwords. In those cases, you pay (usually a very small amount) for each visitor who lands on your site, and it is up to you to convert the visit to a sale.

If this doesn’t answer your question, perhaps you could give some more information about what you want to achieve.
