SitePoint at BlogWorld Expo

    I’m in in Las Vegas with Team SitePoint for BlogWorld & New Media Expo 2010, and we can’t wait to meet all the SitePoint readers, fans, and community members that are going to be there!

    In attendance are yours truly, Kevin Yank (author of several SitePoint books, former author of the Tech Times, and host of the SitePoint Podcast), Shayne Tilley (SitePoint’s marketing guru and co-author of Online Marketing Inside Out), and Leni Mayo (one of SitePoint’s directors, who is here for an announcement we will make at the Expo).

    Also around the Expo, you’ll find the other three co-hosts of the SitePoint Podcast, Patrick O’Keefe (who will be on three different panels), Brad Williams (signing his book and running his booth for WebDevStudios), and Stephan Segraves (generally walking around being a great guy).

    I wanted to give you a run-down of where we’ll be and what we’ll be up to over the next few days, so you have the best possible chance of tracking us down.

    Thursday, October 14th

    We’ll spend most of this day setting up our booth on the Expo floor, and then setting up for a super-secret launch party in the evening.

    SitePoint’s Shayne Tilley and his co-author Brandon Eley will be signing copies of their book, Online Marketing Inside Out from 11AM in front of the Barnes & Noble-sponsored BlogWorld book store.

    If I have any spare time, I’ll be running around with Patrick, Brad, and Stephan recording some interviews for the SitePoint Podcast guerilla-style.

    Friday, October 15th

    The Expo floor opens on this day, so we’ll be manning our booth in shifts. In between, we hope to soak up some of the sessions and atmosphere that BlogWorld has to offer.

    If you want to find us, you’ll need to look for booth #114. We’re unveiling something really special at the Expo, which means our booth won’t be labelled “SitePoint”. We hope you’ll come visit anyway!

    We’ll also be streaming our live recording of the SitePoint Podcast #84 from the BlogWorld podcast booth (it’s the blue box on the Expo floorplan). Come and watch, from 2:00PM – 3:30PM! If you can’t make it to BlogWorld, you can watch our live stream at the Podcast page.

    Saturday, October 17th

    Day 2 of the Expo means Day 2 of booth duty for us.

    We also have the BlogWorld video podcast booth reserved from 10:30AM – 11:30AM to record some interviews for the SitePoint Podcast. Drop by if you’re in the neighborhood!

    Once we close up shop we’ll all be dashing over to support our very own Shayne Tilley in his panel with his co-author on Online Marketing Inside Out, Brandon Eley, entitled “5 Strategies Bloggers Should Learn from Online Marketers” from 3:30PM – 4:30PM.
