Great explanation, keep good work.
This book is aimed at entry-level developers. You don't need any prior experience of PHP
Many entry level PHP developers want a quick path to glory, a shortcut to "knowing PHP." Too many books and tutorials go straight into a pre-made, awful environment that just wants you to code, with no regard for security, version control, or other absolutely essential practices. This book is aimed at the absolute beginner who wants to start learning PHP, but aims to set you up with a thorough understanding of what makes for a good, modern, adaptable PHP environment before you start diving into PHP itself.

I like to confirm this: "...understanding of what makes for a good, modern, adaptable PHP environment before you start diving into PHP itself." That's true and the best resource for it, is this book.
Very insightful. Thank you!
This is a great kickstarter to start programming in PHP. It will give you a well-thought introduction and will save you hours of figuring out on your own. I liked the sections about vagrant and subversioning, it gave me a good incentive to stop my evil ways using MAMP.
This book is essential and efficient. I just wish I had read it earlier !!!
Great book, to learn and practice!
