WordPress showing post that was deleted

I am so stumped. My WP site at http://skipthescams.com/ is showing an old, old post about a contest to win Joel Comm’s Kaching book. I have published posts since then, but this one continues to pop up at the top. (While I do have the WP-sticky plugin installed, it is not activated.) Besides, I have since deleted the post. STILL it appears despite refreshing, clearing the cache, or anything else I try.

I suppose if you guys click on the link above it will show the newest post about the Affiliate Marketing Schoolbook and think I’m losing it :slight_smile: but sometimes when I go into the dashboard to figure this thing out, I will then see the newest post too, but later on I can go back to the site and the Kaching post is back. It’s HAUNTING ME!!! Help, please?

I just tried again and got the same article as bpartch just did.

Thanks for checking. Do you have any idea why that might be happening? I’m pretty sure if you check again tomorrow the old post will be back, I’m a little skeptical! :slight_smile: I’ve never encountered this before.

How long ago did you first delete it?

My guess is that there is a “proxy cache” version of the site that hadn’t / hasn’t been updated yet.(seems to be common with cloud servers)

Is it “coming back” in your WP ACP?

I deleted it several weeks ago. It does not show up in my dashboard, and it’s not in the trash either.
