Will this version of Adobe CS4 Web Premium work on my computer?

Hello everyone,

Will this version of Adobe CS4 Web Premium work on my desktop PC?

Adobe says it is certified for 32-bit Windows 7.

I have 64-bit Windows 7.

The reason I ask is that an anti-malware product I was going to download would not install because the software manufacturer stated they had not yet produced a 64-bit version of their anti-malware product.

In my “computing fundamentals” class, I seem to recall hearing about “backward compatibility” in the various implementations of Windows OS… but I have old software that will not run in Vista with SP2 or Windows 7

Here are the specifications Adobe states are needed at a minimum for Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium

Computer and processor: 2 GHz or faster processor

Memory: 1 GB

Hard disk: 9.1GB for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on flash-based storage devices)

Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP with SP 2 (SP 3 recommended), Windows Vista with SP 1, Windows 7 (certified for 32-bit Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7)

Here are MY CURRENT Desktop PC specs:

Yes, in general 64 bit can run any 32 bit application. Problems happen in the driver end of the world. Or, CS4 will run fine, but you might have some snarkiness with, say, monitor color profiles.

Microsoft states that the CS4 products are compatible. I believe Adobe also mentions it on their website under the FAQ section.
