What is google slap?

A new google technique named google slap is slappnig the sites down any one can explain it briefly please & how to prevent from it. (Addyson)

I presume you are referring to Panda? Google Panda it’s an algorithm google have been rolling out for over 12 months with regular updates, one of the things its designed to do is downgrade poor quality websites - that is just a small part of it but that’s what it sounds like you are on about.

May be it can be a part of panda but keywords of my site was on 1st & 2nd page in Google searches now these are not available in Google till 100 of pages in just one day, when i find its reason on Google most of persons sharing there problems too that they are also effected because of it & its a Google slap…

The ‘Google Slap’ is when Google deactivates your keywords until you either pay a hefty ‘penalty’ cost per click, or make some changes to increase your quality score.

There’s a very easy way to get an answer to questions like this - http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=google+slap

A Google Slap is when Google decides that your adverts are not living up to users’ expectations, typically because they direct people to a generic landing page that isn’t related to the specific words you’re targeting or is solely designed to get people to click on further adverts, and so as a result they give your adverts a very low priority. It’s different from a ban, which is when your adverts are disabled altogether.

The way to avoid it is to make sure that any adverts you have direct users to pages with content that is relevant to the keywords you’re targeting.

It is nothing to do with Panda or ‘organic’ search results.

Ah righto, thanks for clearing that up, never heard of the expression to be honest!

Is this relating to Adwords or Organic search?

yes elbot ,it is relating to Adwords. when the Google finds or determines that the page that customers visit when they click on the ad is not related, is poor in quality, or even loads too slowly, they may take action in the form of a Google Slap.

Thank you for your information, I thought it was the Google update at first.

Google creates a penalty if only their own review fails in it’s purpose…
