Weird Results in Search Engines

Help - Is anybody else seeing the followinge problem in Yahoo Search Results?

My site is listed on Google, Yahoo and Bing. However something very strange is happening on Yahoo Results.

If I search for a page “site:articles.solinky.com” on Yahoo, the results returned are as follows: (I’ll put spaces in here so I don’t link spam)

http :// articles.solinky.com / articles.solinky.com / page.name

The page which Yahoo crawled and indexed is:

http :// articles.solinky.com / page.name

Notice how Yahoo is inserting the domain name twice into the search results. This is happening on every page I have indexed on yahoo. Something else that is strange is viewing the cached page on Yahoo sometimes shows the real page and sometimes shows just a blank page. When clicking on a search result the page would throw a 404 error as it didn’t exits. I have made a work around for this by duplicating every page on the site and putting a 301 redirect to the correct URL just to cathc any clicks from the search results page.

Please help - any advice appreciated. I did contact Yahoo, and got a standard reply “We are looking into this” , then a following Reply “Please take a survey and let us know how well we answered your question”. I would happily take the survey if they ever get around to answering my question.

It’s been over a week now and nothing from Yahoo and still the index is completely wrong. Help!

Hmmm … that’s really strange.

What I would expect to have caused this would be if you had links along the lines of
<a href=“articles.solinky.com/pagename”> on your site, missing out the http so that they get seen as relative links. I’ve had a look and couldn’t quickly see any mistakes like that, but it might be worth a check. The sitemap seems OK, but I couldn’t access an RSS feed to look at that.

BTW, there’s something weird happening in the footer (at least in IE6)…
