WAMPSERVER or installation one by one

Hello,
I am a new learner I just start learning about the PHP and MySQL… I will like to know which Installation is Good to follow, to do the Installation of the Web-server one by one or to stick to the All-in-One WAMPSERVE… please put me Through… Thanks

Please Can some One help me out with Which Installation to Follow… Thanks

Jn,

The FAQ you agreed to abide by FORBIDS bumping. Please comply.

There are a lot of members here who swear by one of the “canned,” package installations. While the “canned” apps are easier to install and will give you a “snapshot,” I started with the “individual” (Kevin Yank’s book will guide you through) and can update each app to match my host’s server. IMHO, the exact match, the ability to upgrade without a complete redo (I have MANY virtual hosts on my test server) and not having to wait for the “creator” to decide to update is well worth the minor extra effort.

Saying that, WinDoze 7 makes the “individual” install a real PITA - avoid Program Files as an installation directory at all costs!

DK

Thank for the Reply, Please Help , i have try to Go about with the Individual Installation… Please I have post My PHP File and My Apache File… please Do help me…

Jn,

Rather than repeat copyright information (Kevin Yank’s book does have a FREE Chapter entitled Installation which covers several OS’s), I’ll just refer you to SitePoint’s book section for the download with the admonition NOT to install either Apache or PHP in a Win7 (or Vista?) Program Files directory (permissions are a problem to edit/use).

DK
