Using <pre> inside <textarea>

Hi :slight_smile:

I would like to display some preformated text in big textareas and I would like it to look like it was ‘saved’ in the db by the user. Is it a good practice to use the <pre> tag inside the <textarea> tag? I am just wondering since there are so many little tricks and DONTs that I don’t know :slight_smile:

I dont think you need to use <pre>. You’d have to test it out, but testareas retain some basic formatting.
