Would anyone happen to know of any tutorials I can look into so I can get better at illustrator? I use PhotoShop all the time and I am trying to get better at other programs in the Adobe Suite.
Layers magazine has some good tutorials in their Illustrator section.
might also find a few good ones on VectorTuts+. that site/section also deals with other vector programs, so might have to do some searching, though.
I hear Lynda.com is another good source of tutorials for various software, but it’s subscription-based.
For basics, you might try to search through YouTube. I’ve occassionally found a few useful videos/screencasts on there.
Thanks for the links. I have heard of Lynda before but yeah, it was subscription based. I will check out your links and youtube.
Lynda is totally worth the money-- the one-on-one deke mcclellen stuff is top-notch, IMO.
The biggest thing to consider is that you can get a comprehensive syllabus rather than a bunch of one-off tutorials, so it all builds.
Totally agree that lynda is worth the subs. Even for an intense 1 month. Very good at what they do.
Ok, that really makes sense. It definitely sounds like its worth it now. Most stuff I see out there is fragmented info, so if its more comprehensive then I am willing to try it for sure.
