Hi I would like to know if there are recommendations for free monitoring services. I have many websites and would like to monitor them for free. I dont mind a no-frills service that just checks once an hour and sends me an email if there is a problem, thats all I’m after. Thanks
pingdom is pretty good. For the last few years we have used www.wormly.com to monitor a several servers. While it’s not free, it is good value and very reliable.

thanks, host-tracker is not free but basic state seems good, will try it out
host-tracker.com is one of the more popular ones. I haven’t really used it for monitoring for a long while though. basicstate.com isn’t bad for a free service. It’s actually well maintained and it catches downtimes.
