I’m looking to be pointed in the right direction.
I am interested in building a web based Training Management System. I’ve looked on the internet for the languages I need to learn but I’m still a little confused and don’t want to waste time learning something only to find out that its incorrect for my requirements.
Below is a brief outline of the system in which I would like to build and would be grateful if you could advise what is the best programming language that I need to learn to create it.
1, It needs to be web based;
2, Ideally it needs to be accessible on desktop pc’s, tablets and possibly large phones;
3, It needs to have access control and different levels of access
4, It will need a dashboard showing current information such as number of employees, training status, training that is going to expire, etc.
5, It will need forms to input data;
6, I’d like to build workflow in to it so Emails can be sent when new employees are added or when training is due to expire, etc.
7, I would also like to have a reports function
and many more functions but this is just the basic of it.
Can any developers give me some advice on the best language to use?
I want to create something that I can input data, store it and then retrieve it, edit it.
I was thinking that I needed a CMS but I think I’m wrong and need a web based database.
I’m a member of Udemy, if you can suggest a good course I will purchase it and learn what I need to.
Your help and guidance would be much appreciated.
