I am managing a FB page for a restaurant and they want to run a promotion with a prize based on who can get the most of their friends to join our page. Is there a way to track page suggestions/joins so we can determine who wins the promotion?

That sounds like a nightmare - I don’t think there is, but there might be an easier way of doing it. Maybe you can give a prize through twitter instead, and make the prerequisite that you have to tweet a link to the FB page, and “like the page” to be eligible. Then use a free twitter contest site generator service (there are tons) and it will choose the resulting winner randomly according to the hashtags they used in their tweets
