Hey chaps,
I’m getting the following errors when i try to install sql server 2008 on my desktop, running win7 home edition.
The password is correct. I’m not sure why this would be happening.
Your help is much appreciated.

Damn man, I ran into this problem when I installed it. Where it says “Administrators”, change it to “Your windows account name” So, if your login name is: John, use john. Also, the password it the same one as your windows account. Should work.
Hey,
I tried that… didn’t work.
You should probably use the built-in accounts to run SQL Server unless you’ve got a real defined need to use something else. Been a while since I set it up, but I think there is an option for NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE in there.
Yep, I used NT Authority and it worked. Thanks guys. Much appreciated.
