SitePoint Bummer!

Darn it! If I had know SitePoint was going to give away the CSS video tutorial for free I would have waited instead of purchasing it! I’m bummed out!!

I presume the information is just as informative and valuable now as it was before ?

if everything was to be known, there would be no surprises…

I once bought an item at retail price (over the Internet), only to get an email the next day saying my item was on sale. I hadn’t even received it yet!

I phoned the company and got a refund down to the sale price, but I know how it feels. :S

Ah, but it doesn’t come with a time machine to send you a free copy to the past, when you needed it.

You buy something when you have a problem to be solved that instant. There’s no waiting, and for your money you get the result which might not even be relevant in the future.

For example, would you be upset to buy a bottle of water in the desert when you’re about to die from thirst, knowing that you’d get all the water you want free when you come back home?

But if you’ve bought it just for the sake of buying, then well, lesson learned. Don’t buy something you don’t need, it will be there for purchase (or free) when you need it.

Well, you bought the videos but I paid for the books… CSS Anthology, Evertything What You Know About CSS is Wrong, Fancy Form Design, The Art and Science of CSS… and I paid for every single one of them.

:frowning: <---- unemployed for over 1 year.:nono:

But now you get the lovely feeling of having financially contributed to a company that gives you these nice forums for free!

I paid some big bucks for some Sitepoint books too.:goof:

You’re doing it again Another Designer! Don’t look back at what might have been, you own the videos and that’s all that matters.
