I am looking for a simple shop (php) for less than 100 products - no attributes or sizes. Ideally open source.

You can go to opencart.com for a free one. I tested it and noticed that it’s really good, but free (open source). Or you should try to google with “free php shop cart” too.

I had never thought of google? What is google any way? I was looking for human recommendations.

If you try to search by google with some keywords relating to what you’re looking for, you will find out more things than asking here. Each thing you find out, perhaps there is a demo, then you look at on the demo. if it’s suitable to your needs, you can ask for reviews or recommendations later.

If I personally had to choose only one out of those 4, it would be ZenCart!

Oscommerce and Magento are far too complicated for what I am looking for. I am now thinking of just using a paypal or google checkout cart

Check out Ubercart. It integrates with the Drupal CMS. It’s made to be more of a simple shopping cart. Kind of like what you are looking for.
