Much has changed over the years regarding links and how Google views them. Today, as far as I know, good quality links to other highly relevant websites are still a good thing.
In your opinion, what name should be used that will catch my reader’s attention and not turn them off? Resources.php? Links.php? Please explain why you feel this way. Would it be bad to have all thinks point to a router.php which records the link that was clicked prior to redirecting the user to their intended destination? Because I want to track which links are actually the most helpful to my members.
Also, does anyone know of a good template to use? I’ve looked on themeforest.net for a links page template and couldn’t find a single one.
As @Mittineague says, this kind of page has largely fallen out of favour, and with good reason. However, if you want to include it, I’d say the name should reflect its function. So if it’s purely a list of links, then “links.php” is appropriate. If there’s a genuine attempt to turn it into a useful resource by providing even minimal information about each, or separating them into some kind of categories, then “resources.php” would be appropriate.
