I have done some searching but have not found what I am looking for, so I thought I would try a post.
I am looking for either a script or some framework to (automatically) gather CJ or linkshare affiliate links and promote them as deals on a deals site, like slickdeals or motherofalldeals (although the later site is really an aggregation of aggregate sites!). Anyway, if anyone has any info they could provide, I would appreciate it. Feel free to PM me. Thank you!
I would like to know how other deals and shopping sites are doing this. We are trying with data feed integration for each affiliate networks but it is kind of complex to validate each and every product listings. Some listings are coming up fine and some are not. And the main challenge is to extract product listings in single format and display it in the same format is difficult because each merchant has different content format and some data feeds don’t have categories. So I am wondering how other sites handle this.
Could someone suggest me how to achieve the same manner of other deals and shopping sites.
Slickdeals and sites like it are powered by real people, not scripts. The site’s users submit deal tips and the moderators choose which ones to put on the home page. There’s no sentient computer that can read all the ads and visit all the websites in the world and identify which are the “good deals”.
