I don’t think 2checkout takes all British debit cards - I nearly signed up for it but it’s very UScentric as I remember (this was over 12 months ago). I use worldpay for not other reason than I always have and I’ve not found a reason to change.
I’m confused as to what you are after, each payment gateway works independently, there isn’t one which covers every other payment provider.
As for the most popular, it’s probably down to PayPal, Amazon Flexible Payments, Google Checkout and WorldPay. 
My question is,
When i integrate a payment solution in my website.
Eg. If i need paypal, ccavenue, die post etc… I need to integrate one by one…
I know each payment solutions works independently…
I want to know if there is any solution API’s… Where a lot of combined solution can be integrated…
If you take world pay or money bookers… Lot of offerings under one…
I have seen sofort uberweisum… But it seems to be quite expensive…

You can try also 2checkout, as far I know 2checkout is compatible with PayPal payments.
