Pay per view videos? How to do it?

Firstly, sorry if this was in the wrong section but this seemed closest!

Basically I have a client who wants to have pay per view videos on his site (which im building in wordpress)… However I cant seem to find ANYTHING at all on how to do it!!

It will work like this: A user will look through a database of videos and select which ones they want. From there they will go to a payment gateway (probably paypal). From there they will get sent an email link which will contain a link to a password protected area which will only work for one viewing.

Obviously before i give a quote i need to know what im letting myself in for, and the costs involved so i dont stitch myself up.

Does anyone have any advice/experience in this?

Sounds to me like it would be only somewhat different than delivering other electronic functionality.

Instead of sending them to a page with a download link, you send them to a page with the content embedded in it. The link would expire after 24 hours or x visits so it couldn’t be shared.

I’d start by visiting payloadz/ejunkies and see if you can fit your needs into their solutions.

Mind you, this advice is all of the top of my head.
