Password protect my files and folders in Windows

How do I password protect my files and folders in Windows?

You can put the password in any partition and folder in the window to protect.

Right click on the folder you want to protect, click properties >>>click advanced then tick mark encrypt content to secure data

Encryption and password protect are not the same thing.

Windows per se doesn’t have a way to protect your folder with a password. Unless you use a third party software. You can compress and protect the compressed folder with a password (ue 7-zip or WinRar for that, or something similar)

You can protect a folder to be read or used by any other member using the same computer by going to the properties of the folder (select folder > right click > properties > security) and change the permissions on that folder accordingly.
