Online WYSIWYG Editor with Host (UK); suggestions?

Hi all,

I have built a simple HTML/CSS website for a client who would like to get a UK based hosting package with an online WYSIWYG editor which will allow them to edit the content of the pages I’ve created for them.
I’ll FTP the files up, then hoping the WYSIWYG editor will injest them and allow my client to edit them.

Have come across RVSiteBuilder as a possibility; can anyone suggest any others that are worth looking at?

I know it’s not the best way, but it’s down to the customer at the end of the day!

I actually did not look for any function that would allow me to upload anything other than the modified template.

Unless they are sold on using RVSiteBuilder, you might try something like CushyCMS http://www.cushycms.com which is a simple CMS that I have looked at, but not really used. I would suspect there are others available.

Using a WYSIWYG editor is likely to be using a template. Getting your code to fit a pre-made template would be difficult.

I have adjusted a template on a RVSiteBuilder site, but that was to fix a few problems for a relative. If you want to go with a template site such as RVSiteBuilder, either build your own and upload it or find one the customer likes and build the site using the software the customer will be using. Otherwise I suspect the customer will not be happy.

Just my thoughts on this.

You’d be far better off setting up something like WordPress for them IMHO.

Drupal is one of the simpliest as well. I believe most of web hosts support that now

Thanks for your thoughts. I’ve created the website for them already, was an afterthought on their part that they wanted to edit the site themselves. When you used RVSiteBuilder - did you come across the functionality to upload your own html files and then get the RVSiteBuilder to edit them?
