I just started using Market samurai tonight, which is software for SEO - I believe its used by a lot of webmasters these days, but I could be wrong.
Market Samurai is a free/paid tool for in-depth keyword research (the kind that would simply take too long by hand), rank tracking and link building. In short, MS is your not-so-secret weapon to dominate the search engines – and dominate you can!
Here’s a blog post/review on market samurai, what do you guys think?
I wouldn’t waste my money. there are a lot ways to do it for free and he is going to try and sell a bunch of crap. I did a search for him and I couldn’t find one reputable source that interviewed him or could verify his success.

Anyone can try Market Samurai for free. cpvr, if you don’t like it at the end of the free trial there’s no need to buy, and you still get to keep the keyword research part of the software free for life.
You’re right, it’s being used by tens of thousands of webmasters, and by the top internet marketers. If you do a quick Google search for the product you’ll find the site, and you can also watch the training videos for free while you’re there - just click where it says Dojo, and then click on Market Samurai. Those videos will show you more about Market Samurai than you can read about in that article.

Her profile lists market samurai as her home page…she’s not exactly hiding the fact. There’s nothing wrong with reps of a company defending their product.

My site is not Market Samurai’s own site - if you were to search for the product in the search engines you would find the real site. Oh I wish it was mine
My site is merely about the product. I do not represent the company, I do not work for the company. It doesn’t benefit me one way or the other as to whether or not you get the product. Notice I did not say look at my site, I said look in Google for the site. And if you look in Google you won’t find my site on page 1 of the search results for the product, and probably not even in the top 10 pages of the search results.

I use Market Samurai and it is an amazing piece of software if used properly. I have met the CEO Eugene Ware at a conferance in 2009, he is a great guy.
At the conferance I also met Ishabluebell (previous posts) who does not work for Market Samurai. She owns a perrsonal blog full of useful tips and tricks on how to use the software.
Again if used properly then great software to keep track of your site and your competition there is nothing out there like it.

How long have you been using the software?
I have been using it since its launch which was the summer of 2008.
It takes a bit of time to familirize with the different concepts, for example the traffic is shown as a daily analysis and Google’s Keyword tool shows it as a MONTHLY analysis. (I still get mixed up when switching ! 
)

Last night I downloaded the trial version and well I think you won’t be wasting your time per say to at least try it. It all just depends on how far your understanding of SEO is and your knowledge level of using established free tools. It seems it is geared more towards either newbies or really busy webmasters running multiple sites and don’t have time to use real tools.
One thing I thought was absolutely hilarious and extremely off-putting was in the first introduction video the speaker told us how to copy and paste the registration code by right clicking and selecting copy… WTF is up with that, if you are THAT new to computers how would manage even to browse the internet let alone run a SEO marketing campaign. Talk about an insult to watch.
cpvr: I’ve been using Market Samurai since August 2008.
Luxoria: The reason for the bit about the registration code and the hand-holding is that those early Market Samurai videos were created for the Thirty Day Challenge of 2008, which was an internet marketing course for newbies (and from 2010 it was called simply The Challenge).
As to your comment about “real tools”: Darren Rowse says it is one of “5 Tools I Am Willing to Pay for [And Recommend] to Improve My Blogs” (the link is in my second post in this thread) and Andy Jenkins says that it is one of his 7 “Tools of the Trade: Essential Internet Marketing tools of 2011” (again, the link is in my previous post).

hhmm interesting, thanks for clarification. Hopefully for them they edit the hand holding out of videos that face non newbie targets.
My comment of ‘real tools’ was not very classy, I should of explained it a bit. However, I will keep it simple and retract my statement. Because honestly I don’t have the experience with the program and I have no desire to influence anybody in either direction.
