I have a website supplying herbal extracts and i want to know if it is good to add community block.
If by a ‘community block’ you mean something like a small forum, I can see where that would have a positive effect on your business. If you can encourage good discussions, users will keep returning to the site to participate in the forums and then perhaps check out the commercial side of your site to see what is new. It is definitely an effective way of engaging people.
@webmachine is right. Do consider that it can backfire too. If the community is not active enough, it will have the opposite effect.
Engaging people, once the novelty passes, is not easy and you’ll have to keep it clear from spammers or unwanted, rude answers.
But, with a bit of love, it can add a lot of value to your website.
As with everything, there are advantages and disadvantages
