Inspiration: looking for websites

Hi,

I’m looking for inspiration. I am about to build a website that should be quite simple graphic-wise.

The content will mainly revolve around interviews of managers / CEO etc. No graphic-oriented topics.

I’m looking for websites which are quite simple in their design (not heavily relying on graphics, phototographs, logos etc.), yet elegant, to find inspiration. In other words, websites that have achieved interesting and challenging design essentially with text.

If you have something in mind that you think could fit, please post the link.

Regards,

-jj.

PS: If you Google “minimalist design inspiration” there’s loads of good articles out there, Smashing Magazine has some excellent showcases of it’s own too.

Just remember a few things about minimalist designs: every single element counts heavily towards the overall site impact, color and typography are critically important (even more so than usual – what’s a stronger word than “critically”?), and while too many graphics (sometimes 2 is too many!) loads the page down, that one perfect graphic can be stunning in its visual impact.
