Inserting ogg file into page

Hi I am using dreamweaver cs4 to insert/embed an .ogg file into my webpage. However when i preview it in firefox or ie it does not work at all, and doesnt display the media controls. It works fine on Google chrome. I am also noticing that the interface for audio in google chrome is completely different from internet explorer, why is this so?

These are fairly murky waters you are wading into. Support for ogg is pretty poor at this stage. Here is a good page for understanding the lie of the land right now:

Thanks, what about the interface for playing audio, how can i have a standard interface that looks the same on all browsers?

Try out Flowplayer. It’s really good.
