The only thing need to drive traffic through StumbleUpon is to build up good social relationship by following up like minded stumblers. By simply stumble a link, you can see the traffic increase through stumbleupon because of the like minded followings/followers.
In other words, if you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then spam them with bull puckey.
Doesn’t sound like a good idea to me and if found out, sounds like a way to get all of your accounts removed permanently.

without a good content and presentation it is quite difficult or can say impossible to get traffic from stumbleupon…try to stumble other stumblers if like their content too.
Since Stumbleupon is like a random, newest and top buzz social bookmarking site, probably like how Digg works, users of Stumbleupon can view your webpage links if; it’s been randomly showed to them as recent post in their buzz feeds/news feed, It has been featured by StumbleUpon itself as current top popular or it has the most like in Stumbleupon after you post it with your public profile.
I totally agree that SU is a great site to earn traffic free. Just by click stumble, SU will show us a random site that we may interest in. I like to use SU than Digg. BTW, I use both of them to promote my site.
when you stumble others sites…with your profile link people will stumble you back…more traffic will come to your site when your content on the site is worthy and readable. always upload fresh content only.
